A place of remembrance and shared memories. Since 1964, this has been the Roberto Barbero social hut in the Vagliotta valley, in the Gesso Valley, commissioned by friends of the mountaineer who died on Plent Peak on June 13, 1963.
The film, produced by CAI Cuneo, Amici di Roberto Barbero, the CAI Borgo San Dalmazzo subsection, and Corale La Baita, retraces its history—the painstaking construction, maintenance, and expansion in 2024. A multi-voiced tale that explains how for many it is and has been a place of the soul.
