To help those who, having suffered a bereavement or a traumatic experience related to the mountains, are seeking a new balance, find meaning, a voice, and a possible path forward.
It is with this aim that last November the CAI launched "Beyond the Summit", a project that unites mountaineers, psychologists, guides, rescuers and family members, with the aim of building a network of care, listening and sharing.
Among the various results of the project there is also the vodcast of the same name, in which Sofia Farina, through a series of interviews with mountaineers, family members, artists and psychologists, explores the many forms of grief and the different and personal ways in which one can learn to live with it.
Farina talks with Cristina Giordana, mother of Luca Borgoni, a mountaineer from Cuneo who died in July 2017 on the Matterhorn; with them, the writer Enrico Camanni.
